Summary
Nikki has a tough decision to make when her estranged daughter Eve shows up at Waterloo Road, having run away from home, angry with her father. As the staff and pupils mourn Grantly's death, Maggie puts on a brave face and is determined to get straight back to work, causing her friends to worry about how she is really coping. The school's sponsored clean goes awry when Sue slips on a wet floor, leading to a further breakdown in Christine and Simon's relationship
Review
After last week’s dramatic conclusion, proceedings are understandably subdued as Maggie and the rest of Waterloo Road’s dysfunctional family limp back to normality accompanied by a suitably sentimental acoustic soundtrack.
Family, in all of its fractured guises, seems to be a recurring theme with steely head of English Miss Boston blindsided when an unexpected visitor is found loitering in reception. Comic relief, as ever, is provided by the erroneously named Miss Spark while the angst-ridden breakdown of Kevin and Dynasty’s young love continues its surprising tug at the heartstrings.
