Summary
Christine settles in as head of Waterloo Road but quickly finds new deputy Simon is after her job. As well as unruly students and her drink problem, old friend George is not all he seems.

Summary
New science teacher Sue is excited about her first day, but it quickly descends into chaos when the students run rings around her. To make matters worse, fiance Simon offers her no support in his determination to keep their relationship a secret, so she is forced into a shady alliance with someone who might just be able to help her keep control. The pupils are unhappy about Christine's budget cuts, and when Connor leads them in a walkout she is forced to consider excluding her own son. The Brown twins continue their vendetta against Audrey and more than a few eyebrows are raised when George introduces his new teaching assistant
Review
It’s a tougher week than usual at Waterloo Road with embattled headteacher Christine Mulgrew forced to cancel the sixth-form theatre trip in a bid to balance the books. Boisterous as ever, the students respond by going on strike.
Meanwhile, the Mandarin department’s new recruit, Mr Windsor’s Chinese wife Princess, has the sixth-form boys falling over themselves with uncharacteristic enthusiasm for extra lessons.
Sadly, things aren’t as peachy for new science teacher Miss Spark. She has the air of a lamb to the slaughter about her when a class experiment goes drastically wrong, putting her engagement to Mr Lowsley on the line in the process.
