Summary
Christine settles in as head of Waterloo Road but quickly finds new deputy Simon is after her job. As well as unruly students and her drink problem, old friend George is not all he seems.

Summary
The classroom drama returns for a fresh term and there are a few new faces among the staff and pupils. They include scruffy twins Lenny and Lisa, whose dishevelled appearance prompts Audrey to think they are being neglected. But when she visits their home, she gets much more than she bargained for and finds herself the victim of a hate campaign. Meanwhile, newly qualified science teacher Sue finds the job tougher than expected, deputy head Simon is keeping a secret that could affect his career - and rock the staffroom - and as the school mourns Tom, Kacey struggles to cope with the loss of her mentor

“Is it always like this?” asks the enthusiastic new science teacher Miss Spark after a dramatic arrest on the school football pitch leads to a punch-up. “Like what?” replies fellow teacher George Windsor with a shrug. It’s the first day of term and although the school is in mourning for former deputy head Tom, there’s plenty of drama.
New students Lenny and Lisa Brown aren’t a popular addition to the place. For starters, they could do with a good wash but they’re also very aggressive – especially towards Audrey who knows them from Havelock High and is determined to help them.
And if you notice a strange smell, it’s not just Lenny and Lisa – there’s a whiff of nepotism around Waterloo Road that is especially strong around George, Sue Spark and new deputy head Simon.
