Encouraging the pupils to take part in a local radio show that’s being broadcast live from Waterloo Road School: what a great idea! Because no one will mouth off, swear or say anything to embarrass the teachers, will they?
So not surprisingly “superhead” Michael Byrne is confronted with an anonymous question that he can’t answer; Trudi unwittingly reveals to the entire school how she feels about being pushed into an arranged marriage; and “Manga Girl”, a desperately lonely youth we’ve not met before, is humiliated by the radio presenter Viv (My Hero’s Emily Joyce), who happens to be her mum. It’s an episode with surprises, changes and a punch in the face.
