Summary
A gang war breaks out at Waterloo Road, threatening to derail Michael's efforts to turn the school around, and Josh struggles with an escalating drug problem which is masking a more serious illness.
A gang war breaks out at Waterloo Road, threatening to derail Michael's efforts to turn the school around, and Josh struggles with an escalating drug problem which is masking a more serious illness.
With his cynical disenchantment, political incorrectness and sarcastic put-downs, Grantly Budgen is the one member of staff who can make you smile. Or maybe wince. Not this time, though. In the most poignant episode since Sambuca Kelly died from cancer, Grantly realises that he should spend more time with wife Fleur, who has Alzheimer’s.
“It’s like seeing someone disappear in front of your eyes. Every day she forgets something until… she’ll forget how to function,” he explains… eventually. Typical of Waterloo Road’s men, it takes him a while as he’s kept his personal problems to himself until now.
