Summary
Sonya is tired of living in her sister's shadow, so she follows her dream of becoming a beautician by selling products to the pupils - only for Rhiannon to be rushed to hospital after suffering a bad reaction to a tanning injection. Lorraine is forced to rethink her relationship with Nikki, while Steve-O's reign of terror continues as he takes on Connor's debt to Barry and warns Kevin to stay away from Dynasty. Tom explores the reality of donating a kidney, but when son Josh pays a surprise visit to the school, he struggles to tell him he is going under the knife
Review
Although the vile Steve-O is making his presence felt around the school, threatening everyone who owes him money as well as punishing Kevin for mucking about with his ex-girlfriend, this is an episode that focuses on the adults rather than the kids. And the message, in case you don’t pick up on it, is that a glamorous lifestyle isn’t necessarily all it’s cracked up to be.
The wealthy but emotionally stunted Lorraine has what she describes as “a pig of day”, screwing up her relationship with sister Sonya, her elderly mother and girlfriend Nikki. And an ex-pupil makes a surprise returns to Waterloo Road wearing a designer suit and flashing the cash everywhere.
