Summary
New head Vaughan Fitzgerald arrives with his partner Allie and her two children. When his two teenage sons from a previous marriage arrive unexpectedly to live with them, it all gets very complicated.

Summary
The classroom drama returns after its short break for the start of the final series. The staff and pupils are back after their holiday, and there are a few fresh faces among them. New deputy head Lorna Hutchinson has a bad first day, while it transpires that new pupils Kenzie and Scott have met before - and there is unfinished business between the two. Vaughan gets a shock upon meeting his new supply teacher, and the pupils cannot believe how Bonnie has transformed herself over the summer
Review
The last-ever term at Waterloo Road gets off to a typically shaky start. Head teacher Vaughan has employed a dynamic new deputy who looks about the same age as the year nines while his new supply teacher turns out to be his ex-wife. He’s also got to deal with two difficult new students – Kenzie and Scott – who have very different reasons for continually kicking off.
To add to the tension, the news that Waterloo Road may be merging with Havelock High is broadcast to teachers and students in an unfortunately public way. “I’ve made some stupid decisions in my time,” he admits. Yes, like working in education.
