Review

The King is dead. The King is dead. The King is dead and admit it, you cheered, watching bad King Joffrey choke on his hateful tongue.

The King may be dead but life goes on. Cersei is out for blood as the show transforms into a whodunnit. Tyrion is prime suspect but the truth will out eventually. (Except this is Game of Thrones so it probably won’t.)

Meanwhile, the other Lannisters press their advantage, particularly Jaime (Cersei’s brother/lover and Joffrey’s father), who is far from broken up. Practical Tywin turns his attention to Joffrey’s successor, the more or less forgotten Tommen, who seems more impressionable than his sadistic older brother. There is work to do. The King is dead. Long live the King.
