Having opened a cold case investigation into the murders of Peter and Gwenda Dixon, who were shot dead on a Welsh coastal path, cold case leader Steve Wilkins (Luke Evans) decides it’s time to rattle his suspect, John Cooper.
Keith Allen is a potent mixture of cocky, watchful and sinister as Cooper, who’s interviewed at length by police in prison where he’s serving a sentence for other serious offences.
But the police need to know what Cooper looked like in 1989, when the Dixons were murdered – they have a police sketch based on a witness description. Confirmation comes from the unlikeliest source – an episode of the darts quiz show, Bullseye.
