Episode 10: Valar Morghulis

Summary

Theon Greyjoy stirs his men into action as Maester Luwin offers some final advice, Arya receives a gift from the mysterious Jaqen, and Daenerys summons the courage to enter the House of the Undying. Meanwhile, Jon proves his worth as a brother of the Night's Watch to Qhorin Halfhand. Fantasy drama, based on George RR Martin's Song of Ice and Fire novels, and starring Maisie Williams, Kit Harington and Alfie Allen

Review

Game of Thrones is a rare thing: a fantasy adaptation that keeps devotees happy while at the same time hooking in those who wouldn’t normally touch a dragon with a ten-foot pole. It’s also Sky Atlantic’s biggest ratings success to date, drawing ten times the audience of Mad Men.

Season two concludes with more of that addictive mix of political manoeuvrings, sword-and-a-little-sorcery and very human relationships. Plus what looks like a titanic battle that could determine the fate of the seven kingdoms.
