Episode 2: The House of Black and White

Summary

Arya arrives in Braavos, while Brienne and Pod run into trouble on the road, and Cersei fears for her daughter's safety in Dorne as Ellaria Sand seeks revenge for her lover Oberyn's death. Stannis has a proposal for Jon and an advisor tempts Daenerys. Fantasy drama, starring Maisie Williams, Lena Headey and Emilia Clarke

Review

It’s not just the UK that has an election – the Night’s Watch have to vote in a new commander in an episode that is packed with a lot more incident (and blood) than last week’s rather somnolent series five opener. A bounty on Tyrion’s head makes life tricky for the show’s dwarf population, while Brienne – at last – finds a less than grateful Sansa Stark.

Jaime hatches a rather interesting plot with Jerome Flynn’s charismatic sellsword Bronn which may see the one-handed Lannister act like a father for the first time (albeit to the daughter Myrcella he sired with his sister).
