Episode 3: Walk of Punishment

Summary

Tyrion assumes new responsibilities, Jon is taken to the imposing Fist of the First Men, and Jaime strikes a deal with his captors. Meanwhile, Daenerys meets with the slavers as she moves to build an army. Fantasy drama, starring Peter Dinklage, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and Emilia Clarke

Review

There’s some fun to balance this week’s dose of blood and brutality (although that’s no consolation to those characters on the wrong end of the torture and mutilation). A game of musical chairs at King’s Landing scores one for irrepressible imp Tyrion, while he and bodyguard Bronn are fascinated when squire Pod loses his virginity, several times over.

We finally catch up with the hapless Theon Greyjoy, and are introduced to Catelyn’s formidable uncle Bryndon “The Blackfish” Tully and his nephew Edmure, whose military naivety leaves Robb Stark fuming.

Across the Narrow Sea, Daenerys begins negotiations to purchase her army. Will she really trade one of her most prized possessions?
