Rick Stein fell in love with Cornwall during his childhood holidays but not just because of what he admits was his privileged lifestyle (the family’s clifftop house at Trevose Head is an Art Deco gem). He adores everything about the county: its history, people, culture, countryside, seascapes and, of course, its food.
In this charmingly gentle series, he attempts to show us what Cornwall means to him. Among the people he meets are contemporary artist Kurt Jackson and John Harris, the delightful head gardener of a heritage apple orchard, who’s as Cornish as they come with an accent as thick as clotted cream.
