Episode 2: Episode 2

Summary

Andrew enrages Jack by siding with millionaire sponsor Roger Aspinall and accepting the position of headmaster, and his zero tolerance policy angers the community as badly behaved pupils are excluded and left to run riot in the neighbourhood. Meanwhile, a jealous Leigh-Ann falls out with Mika and starts a bullying campaign against her

Review

The staff are still concerned about the rise in gang culture, so head teacher Michael comes up with a strategy: ban street slang and encourage the kids to speak properly. His second idea is just as inspired: he appoints big-hearted Daniel Chalk as a gang liaison officer.

Chalky’s first project is to babysit Tariq, who appears to have turned over a new leaf, even agreeing to Chalky’s suggestion he should stand in the election for head boy. But it’s Tariq’s sister Trudi — who’s become stridently emancipated since discarding the hijab and is campaigning to be head girl — who achieves something miraculous: total silence in the corridors of Waterloo Road.
