Martin and Phil MacHugh journey through fjords that are Unesco World Heritage sites to a re-creation of a Viking village, where they learn about the seafaring people's domestic lives. They then drive towards Alesund to witness how modern Norwegians are embracing the old ways, meeting pagans Sigrid-Annette and Ivan of the Asatru religion and take part in a blessing for the god Aegir that looks mysteriously like a wedding ceremony
