Career aspirations and pesky Klingons get in the way of an urgent mission in the fifth season of the animated comedy created by Mike McMahan. Captain Carol Freeman (voiced by Dawnn Lewis) and the crew of the U.S.S. Cerritos are tasked with closing rifts in the Alpha Quadrant known as 'space potholes'. This should be a simple assignment for Beckett Mariner (Tawny Newsome), Brad Boimler (Jack Quaid), Tendi (Noel Wells), Rutherford (Eugene Cordero) but the Orion war and a series of diplomatic catastrophes distract attention from eradicating the subspace anomalies
