This month on Disney Plus is building up to be a very exciting one, with the arrival of Shōgun, the epic war tale based on the novel by James Clavell, on the horizon.
The year is 1600 in the new series, which unfolds in Japan at the dawn of a century-defining civil war.
The show follows Lord Yoshii Toranaga (Hiroyuki Sanada), who is left fighting for his life when his enemies unite against him. English pilot John Blackthorne (Cosmo Jarvis) also washes ashore in a mysterious ship, bearing secrets that could help Lord Toranaga in his quest for power.
The series lands on the streamer at the end of the month, but there's plenty to discover in the meantime -- including dramas such as Black Cake and The Artful Dodger.
