Shared grief is to turn into passion on tonight's EastEnders when Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa) and Peter Beale (Ben Hardy) lock lips.

The pair, who originally dated back when Peter was played by Thomas Law, will get close in this evening's episode following the arrest of Jake Stone (Jamie Lomas) for the murder of Lucy Beale.

After the police take action, Lauren will be seen fretting over whether she did the right thing in talking to the investigating officers while also worrying that she will be unable to continue with the Lettings business that she started with Lucy.

Peter, for his part, will tell Lauren that he and Lola are "taking a bit of a break". He also reveals his concerns that Ian's (Adam Woodyatt) mental health will again start to suffer and that he doesn't match up to Lucy in his dad's eyes. But as Lauren seeks to reassure Peter, her consoling words soon lead to a kiss...
