But with the schedule now more or less back to normal that episode has been rescheduled – read on for all the relevant details on when to watch.

Why wasn't EastEnders on on Friday 9th April?

Normally a new EastEnders episode airs every Friday night at 8:35pm, but last week's episode was cut from the schedules at the last minute.

This was due to the news that Prince Philip had died, with the BBC altering their schedules in order to air tributes to the royal.

All previously planned programming was scrapped in order to make room for the tributes, with EastEnders one of may popular shows removed from the schedules.

When is the next episode on TV?

Fortunately, the disruption to the schedule was only temporary and EastEnders will now air a doubleheader tonight (Monday 12th April) to make up for the lack of a new episode last Friday.

That means that Friday's episode will now air on BBC One at 8:10pm tonight, with another episode immediately following it at 8:35pm.

From then on, the soap will continue its usual broadcast pattern, with new episodes airing on, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday.

The episode that was postponed on Friday (and now airs tonight) sees Kat refuse to go public with Phil while Kush's trial is going on, with Phil taking it upon himself to sort things – by giving Kush advice on how to handle prison.

Meanwhile, Isaac is frustrated at not being heard, and the Taylors gather to mark Chantelle's birthday, but Gray is nowhere to be seen - until he turns up at the club blind drunk.
