A tabloid report suggested the former Geordie Shore star had been dropped from the next series, with a source saying her partying could "sometimes impact her commitment to the show".

But in a string of tweets the 28-year-old I'm A Celebrity champ confirmed that her three-month stint on Loose Women was "only a summer contract", adding that her relationship with both the show and ITV is "still great".

A source told RadioTimes.com that it was Pattison's own decision to stand down. Meanwhile, a spokesperson for the TV personality said it was juggling projects – including a new travel spin-off on This Morning with jungle pal Ferne McCann – that stood in the way of a full-time role on Loose Women.

"Vicky was only ever contracted to Loose Women until the end of August. She has some hugely exciting projects coming up, which have made it impossible for her to carry on as a panellist for now. Vicky loved her time on the show and is hugely grateful for the opportunity."

An ITV spokesperson subsequently suggested that Pattison could return to the show at a later date: "Vicky is still part of the Loose Women family. It's just due to busy schedules this Autumn there are no current dates booked in."
