This live stream of a puddle in Newcastle is trending on Twitter
20,000 people are watching the live Periscope broadcast of pedestrians walking around a puddle

It's midway through the first week back at work after Christmas and the afternoon is dragging. Never fear. Periscope user DrummondCentral has developed some reality TV that can keep you entertained at your desk.
The footage in question showcases a particularly tricky to negotiate puddle just outside of Newcastle and the mundane nature of the recording has captured the imagination of the watching public.
Within hours, #DrummondPuddleWatch was trending on Twitter both in the UK and around the world with 20,000 people avidly watching.
Before we knew it, fame hungry members of the public were aiming to make the puddle their own with a "slippery when wet" sign and a surfboard.
