Four of Diamonds have big dreams after being brought back to The X Factor to replace Brooks Way
Little Mix won The X Factor in 2011 and shot to global fame with hits including Black Magic and Wings – but five years later, they remain the only group act ever to have won the competition.
Four of Diamonds want to change all that.
The four-piece girl band were sensationally brought back into the competition by mentor Louis Walsh to replace Brooks Way last week, and now the girls have their sights set on the success of their "role models" Jade Thirlwall, Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jesy Nelson.
Four of Diamonds singer Caroline told RadioTimes.com: "We've seen them come such a long way. They're so great now and they started in the same position as we did.
"We can only hope and pray that one day we will be as big and as successful as them, and just follow along in their footsteps."
Four of Diamonds made their live show debut on Saturday, singing You Keep Me Hangin' On.
"You come in cold like this and give such a great, confident performance," Sharon Osbourne told them.
After guest stars Little Mix performed during Sunday night's results show, the girls took the chance to get some advice from the former X Factor champions.
Sophia explained: "They're an inspiration for us. They've been through this whole process and they've had their ups and they've had their downs, and it was so nice to speak to them and hear how they deal with certain things we might be going through."
Louis initially opted not to bring Four of Diamonds to the live shows and sent them home at Judges' Houses, but he had a change of heart when a spot opened up in his category. Any resentment?
"It feels great to see Louis again," Caroline said. "We have no hard feelings towards him or anything."
Simon Cowell also sniped at Louis during Saturday's show for reportedly hating working with girl groups, but Lauren, Yasmin, Sophia and Caroline say everything has been sorted out between the act and their mentor.
"He's actually admitted to us that he actually doesn't really like working with girl bands," Yasmin said.
"But what he said to us is that we are like no other girl band. He can see that we get on, and that we love each other. And he knows that we're going to work so hard throughout the show."
