"Showbiz" Simon's best bit(s) and Jack Pie Face light up Big Brother launch night
The Channel 5 reality series returned last night and Twitter had plenty to say about it the new housemates...
Big Brother is back! (Yes, it feels like it never went away. It basically didn't) And with 16 (now 15) newbies safely inside the house, there's plenty of wild antics and tabloid-worthy dalliances to look forward to.
But this year's Big Brother launch night featured a dramatic twist. For the first time since the series started in 2000, we met the contestants two days before they entered the house. We thought we had it sussed, we knew what was coming... but Big Brother had other ideas, promptly evicting "Mr Showbiz" Simon Gross after a special "Timebomb"-themed game.
Given the number of times he uttered the word "showbiz", viewers didn't seem all that upset...

But while Twitter turned on Simon, "Pie Face" Jack from Plymouth found himself a hot favourite, even earning a few famous fans:

With #VotePie gathering pace on Twitter, everyone was rather chuffed when he won immunity in the Timebomb game that lost Simon his place in the house...

But Pie Face wasn't the only one to cause a splash. Aaron attempted to catch the eye dressed as a, er, zebra (we think)...

And it certainly wasn't lost on Twitter that brash model and student Adjoa was a pastor's daughter...

Of course, not everyone was enthralled by the night's entertainment:

But as for the rest of us? Well, we're all fighting a losing battle, aren't we?
I will not get addicted this year. I have learned my lesson. I will not get addicted this year. I have lea--ah, who am I kidding #bigbrother
