"Peace and love" – Music world pays tribute to Beatles producer George Martin
Stars from Ringo Starr and Paul McCartney to Roger Moore celebrate the 'fifth Beatle'

The music world is reacting to news of the death of former Beatles producer Sir George Martin.
Ringo Starr led the tributes to the man known as 'the fifth Beatle' on Twitter, thanking him "for all your love and kindness."
Paul McCartney wrote a touching tribute on his website, calling him "a true gentleman and like a second father to me."
"He guided the career of The Beatles with such skill and good humour that he became a true friend to me and my family. If anyone earned the title of the fifth Beatle it was George. From the day that he gave The Beatles our first recording contract, to the last time I saw him, he was the most generous, intelligent and musical person I’ve ever had the pleasure to know."

John Lennon's son Sean posted a picture of the man who first signed his father and the rest of The Beatles, and helped guide them to global success.
