Mr Darcy's wet shirt is going on display
The infamous shirt that clung to Colin Firth in the 2005 miniseries will be on display for Americans to see

Anyone who has seen the Pride and Prejudice miniseries from 2005 remembers a particular scene where Mr Darcy, played by Colin Firth, strips down to his shirt and goes for a swim. Of course you know the one – it's indelibly marked on our memories forevermore.
It's been over 20 years since the billowing shirt first took its plunge – more than enough time for it to dry off and be shipped to America where lucky fans will get the chance to see it up close and in person.
The costume from the series' most popular scene will be put on display at the Folger Shakespeare Library in Washington, D.C., as part of its "Will & Jane: Shakespeare, Austen, and the Cult of Celebrity" exhibit.

The exhibition will feature an array of items, including a Shakespeare bobblehead and a scarf of Jane Austen's family tree, with the aim of comparing and contrasting the literary after-lives that both authors have achieved.
And Janine Barchas, one of the curators, is prepared for the inevitable flock of Darcy fans: "We will be giving the Folger some Windex, to be used in what we anticipate will be a daily wiping-down of lipstick marks."
