Anita Rani is fronting a new BBC1 documentary that explores the human impact of the Partition of India through the intimate stories of four British families, including her own.
My Family, Partition and Me: India 1947 is a two-parter to mark the 70th anniversary of the Partition, and it sees Rani and her mother become the first members of their family to return to the small village in Pakistan where her grandfather lived.

Since 2015, Rani has co-hosted Countryfile on BBC1 alongside Matt Baker and Ellie Harrison, to name a few.
She also went on Strictly
And did pretty well. In 2015, Rani made the Strictly Come Dancing semi-final with pro-dancer Gleb Savchanko.

Rani has fronted numerous documentaries
She has travelled around the world for BBC documentaries including No Sex Please, We're Japanese, Russia on Four Wheels and Seven Wonders of the Commonwealth.
Last year, Rani co-hosted The Refugee Camp: Our Desert Home, and wrote about her experience in Radio Times.
She also worked on the documentary New York: America's Busiest City.

In 2012, Rani won the BBC’s Great Sport Relief Bake Off, and she stepped in to host this morning with James Martin in summer 2016.
Earlier this year, Rani and Nick Grimshaw presented coverage backstage at One Love Manchester, the benefit concert for victims of the attack on the Ariana Grande show.
She also co-presented the final of BBC Young Dancer with Darcey Bussell and Ore Oduba in April.
