Presenters from BBC’s Countryfile climbed into a 16-foot “haystack” to launch the first ever Countryfile Live.

Matt Baker, John Craven and Ellie Harrison were among the stars promoting the event, which will run from 4th to 7th August at Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire and will include debates, Q&As with the presenters and the chance to encounter rare breeds of animal.

“It was great to see the Countryfile presenters really having fun at the photo shoot at Blenheim,” said Bill Lyons, Executive Editor of Countryfile.

“Bringing the programme to a live audience in such a spectacular setting is a really exciting prospect and it was made all the more so at today’s shoot.”

Presenter John Craven said: “I've been involved in the show for a quarter of a century, and we've never done anything like this before!

“You can meet the presenters, see hundreds of stalls, and have a go at lots of things. It'll be a country show like no other.”
