Disney chairman Bob Iger has only gone and got himself a selfie with Chewbacca.

That's right. The 63-year-old exec celebrated Star Wars Day (May the 4th) with a very special snap, continuing the recent flurry of star-studded selfies from across the pond.

The picture, which was posted on Star Wars' official Instagram page, could be the very first image from the set of JJ Abrams' upcoming Star Wars movie, though there has been no official confirmation that Iger got snap happy at London's Pinewood Studios.

When it comes to Chewy himself, Peter Mayhew, who played Chewbacca in four previous Star Wars films, confirmed he would be returning to his role last month, but there is no news yet on whether Mayhew was inside the Wookiee at the time of this selfie.

Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Kenny Baker and Anthony Daniels are also confirmed to be returning to the franchise, alongside newcomers John Boyega, Adam Driver, Oscar Issac, Daisy Ridley and Domhnall Gleeson.

Star Wars: Episode VII is set for release in December 2015
