The IT Crowd may be over, but is there any hope of turning it off and on again on the big screen? Star Katherine Parkinson certainly thinks so, although hopes its return will be slightly different...
“If [The IT Crowd] did have a future I imagine it would be that sort of thing,” Parkinson said. “I always thought it would be nice to do a sort of musical film!”

Parkinson, who emerged tonight with the BAFTA for Best Female Performance in a Comedy Programme, also admitted that filming the final episode of Graham Linehan's comedy last year was a tough goodbye.
“I did feel a bit emotional,” she reminisced. “I feel like I've grown up on that show. The relationships I have with them are all so deep rooted really.”
It was a good night for The IT Crowd, which was nominated for four awards and won two: Parkinson's Best Female Performance in a Comedy Programme and Best Male Performance in a Comedy Programme, which was won by Richard Ayoade.
Ayoade, when asked whether he would also be up for an IT Crowd film, simply added: "Yeah, sure."
