Roo Stewart discovers she's pregnant in upcoming episodes of Home and Away following a shock collapse.

In the early days of courtship with toy boy James, Roo embraces her inner cougar as the couple take steps to making things more official starting with Ms Stewart introducing him to her friends.

Zac and Leah are initially sceptical about the age gap, but brush aside any concerns when they realise how happy their mate is.

But the first hint that something's up with Roo comes when she has an out-of-the-blue dizzy spell while home alone, and is found unconscious by a shocked James. Doctors do a blood test but dismiss it as a probable dip in blood sugars, but Morag suggests to her niece it could be the start of the menopause.

Googling the symptoms, rattled Roo realises she could be right and James is supportive of the possibility assuring Roo he never saw himself having kids anyway. You can see where this is going...

When Marilyn meets Roo's new squeeze it doesn't go quite as well as it did with Zac and Leah, as Maz discovers James is the newspaper photographer that took the unflattering picture of her jailed husband John that ended up in local rag the Coastal News and caused all sorts of bother.

Despite James insisting he didn't know Marilyn and John had a connection to Roo at the time, it causes a row and leaves Roo with food for thought on their future - though not as much as a phone call from the doctor with the results of her blood test does... Roo isn't in the early stages of the menopause, she's pregnant!

How will she deal with a late-in-life pregnancy? Will she keep it? What about James's comment about not wanting kids?
