Well, what a difference a few days make...

Last week gossip mags (and RadioTimes.com in a knowing ironic way, of course) were all over the news that Iron Man 3 actress and health and fitness guru Gwyneth Paltrow was named as the most hated person in Hollywood, beating the likes of Rihanna's much maligned on/off boyfriend Chris Brown, repeat offender Lindsay Lohan and irritating pop sensation Justin Bieber.

But this week, it's a different Paltrow-related story hitting the headlines. Now People magazine have named the star as the world's most beautiful woman.

Not that the two titles are mutually exclusive. There's a chance Paltrow's long blonde locks, wrinkle-free complexion and youthful figure are the reason she ended up in the realms of Hollywood's least liked in the first place - we all know gossip mag readers love nothing more than a bit of weight fluctuation or a flash of cellulite, neither of which the 40-year-old fitness fanatic is likely to offer up in a hurry.

The mum-of-two has already shared her opinion on the flattering title, saying "It's funny, these things, because it's like obviously not true. But it's very sweet to be named that... It's so nice that someone who has kids and is a mum and is not like 21 is named that. It's really an honour."

We wonder what she'll be named next week... the world's most modest celebrity, perhaps?
