In a collaboration between audiobook publisher AudioGo and Discovery Records, two albums full of spacey genius from the BBC Radiophonic Workshop will be available on vinyl from 21 April, complete with original sleeve artwork and liner notes.

Out of This World, first released in 1976, includes sound effects created for a wide range of BBC radio and TV programmes, including but not limited to Who, under the headings Outer Space, Magic and Fantasy, and Suspense and the Supernatural. Track names include Galactic Travel, Magic Carpet Flight and Phantoms of Darkness.

Hardcore Whovians might prefer the other re-release, 1978's self-explanatory Doctor Who Sound Effects. A record that was played to death by fans at the time, it features "the ambience of seven alien worlds" as well as "an audiogram of the Doctor’s own mind processes".
