Delta Goodrem (aka Nina Tucker) signs up to Neighbours 30th anniversary special
The singer is the third old-timer to return to Erinsborough...
Delta Goodrem, who played Nina Tucker in Neighbours, has confirmed she's returning to Ramsay Street for the show's 30th anniversary special.
Posting on her Instagram and Twitter, the singer wrote, "Guess what? Nina Tucker is returning to Erinsborough!"
Goodrem also posted a picture from 2002 of her with the Neighbours cast:
Storyline details for Nina's return are still under wraps but since Goodrem has a hugely successful pop career in Australia with four albums (her 2003 album Innocent Eyes shares the record for best-selling female album in Australia with Shania Twain's Come on Over) it's likely to involve a musical element.
Goodrem was a regular on the show for a year in 2002 as schoolgirl Nina who was pursuing a music career and navigating a turbulent relationship with Jack Scully.
The singer was written out of the show in 2003 after being diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma but in 2004 her character returned to tie up loose ends before officially leaving.
Anne Charleston and Ian Smith, who played Madge and Harold Bishop, will also return for the 30th anniversary special despite the fact that Madge is supposed to be dead. No other names have been confirmed yet.
