Based on John Meade Falkner's novel, Sky's festive offering Moonfleet centres on a coastal Dorset where cruel magistrate Mohune vows to stamp out smuggling. Ray Winstone stars as Elzevir, the salt-encrusted leader of a smuggling gang. Aneurin Barnard plays as John Trenchard, a young orphan who longs to join the smugglers for a life of adventure, but is torn when he falls for Mohune's daughter Grace.

The Saturday night family show comes to a close tonight, though fans needn't worry - it'll be back for a second series before too long. Jason needs all the help he can get if he and his friends are going to save Ariadne's life. As the battle lines are drawn, there is a shocking revelation that changes the course of the future.

In the final part of the PD James adaptation, fingers are still pointing at Wickham, played by a "dangerously sexy" Matthew Goode. It looks as though the cad is going to get in serious trouble, for a crime he might not have committed. Lizzie Bennet's not sure though, and she's not a woman who'll stand idly by when she believes someone has suffered an injustice...

Mad Dogs: the Finale, 9:00pm, Sky1

Rick, Baxter, Quinn and Woody are back for one final adventure. The boys are back at home in Britain after escaping their nightmare situation. But soon, for various reasons, they all want to return to Cape Town. Reunited in a beautiful house with some of their new girlfriends, all seems well. That is, until Rick finds a dead goat floating in their swimming pool. The two-part finale concludes tomorrow.

His reminisce is about as far from rose-tinted as you can get - expect sharp and sarcastic words from the satirist.
