Friday 4th June

Pan - 10:15am, ITV2

A 12-year-old orphan is abducted and taken away to a magical land by a band of pirates, who need child labour to mine a magical substance created by fairies. Once Were Brothers: Robbie Robertson and the Band - 9pm, BBC Four

The story of how the Canadian guitarist overcame adversity and found camaraderie alongside the four other men who would become his brothers in music in the Band. The film blends rare archival footage, photography, songs and interviews with Robertson's friends and collaborators, including Martin Scorsese, Bruce Springsteen, Eric Clapton and Van Morrison. Zodiac - 11:20pm, BBC Two

Robert Downey Jr and Jake Gyllenhall in Zodiac

Fact-based crime thriller about the tortuous hunt for a mysterious serial killer who terrorised San Francisco in the late 1960s and early 1970s, and taunted the police and media with cryptic messages. Three men became obsessed with identifying the murderer after his reign of terror inexplicably stopped, but their fixation with the case took a heavy toll on their lives. Read our full review

A stuffy English barrister representing a jewel thief is targeted by his client's partners in crime - a seductive American crook and her dim-witted would-be philosopher lover who will go to any lengths to discover where the diamonds from their last heist have been hidden.. Read our full review

The Ladykillers - 11am, Film4

A criminal mastermind and his gang come up with a cunning scheme to steal a fortune, but their plan is threatened by the unsuspecting elderly landlady of the boarding house they are staying in. They decide to dispose of her, which proves easier said than done. Read our full review

The Simpsons Movie - 4:30pm, Film4

Homer unwittingly pollutes Lake Springfield, so the US government decides to isolate the city underneath a giant dome. The Simpsons manage to escape and plan to start a new life in Alaska - but learn Springfield is about to be destroyed, and return to save their friends. Read our full review

The Four Feathers - 8:25pm, Talking Pictures TV

A 19th-century British military officer resigns his commission just as his unit goes into battle in the Sudan, and is accused of cowardice as a result. In a bid to redeem himself, he volunteers as an undercover agent. Read our full review

James Bond, a secret retired agent, sets a plan to take down SMERSH. Later, James Bond renames a group of agents with the same name in order to hide the real one. Read our full review

Planet of the Apes - 12:50pm, Channel 5

A spaceship crash-lands on a mysterious planet where humans are mute creatures who find themselves at the mercy of intelligent apes. The world's simian rulers are horrified when one of the crew reveals he can speak and plan to have him killed, but two chimpanzee scientists intervene, determined to learn from the new arrival. A reclusive genius creates a boy but dies before completing him, leaving his brainchild with scissor-like blades in place of hands. A kindly woman from a nearby suburb takes pity on the lonely figure and welcomes him into her home. He quickly becomes a hit in the neighbourhood - but then his new friends start to turn against him. The Damned United - 11:30pm, BBC Two

Fact-based drama chronicling Brian Clough's ill-fated 44-day tenure as boss of Leeds United in 1974, after Don Revie's departure for the job of England's manager. Following his acrimonious split from Derby County and a brief spell at Brighton & Hove Albion, Clough arrived at Elland Road on a wave of controversy, after previously being an outspoken critic of the club, and struggled to find allies among the playing staff. Wonder

A 10-year-old boy with facial disfigurements that have so far required almost 30 operations takes on a whole new challenge when, after being home educated his entire life, enters mainstream school for the first time. Ben-Hur - 3:15pm, TCM

A Jewish prince in first-century Jerusalem is reunited with an old Roman friend, who is now the governor of Judea. However, their differing political views over local dissent leads to a bitter quarrel, and the governor uses the pretext of an accident to sell him into slavery and imprison his mother and sister. Elisa Esposito is a mute singleton who lives above a cinema. Although friends with Giles, a neighbouring artist, she lives a lonely existence.
