Fans of what has turned from a youthful TV undercover-cop show from the late 1980s and early 90s into a bawdily comedic 21st-century movie franchise may have read that the second sequel to 21 Jump Street will in fact be a crossover with Men in Black, called MIB 23. The mind boggles. So let us return to the safety of 22 Jump Street, in which Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill’s jock/nerd duo pose as college students to sniff out another deadly new drug. Their on-screen chemistry crackles amid simple-minded hokum involving fraternities, football and Spring Break, and Nick Offerman and Rob Riggle give good cameo turns.
