The Shallows – 10.10pm, Sky Premiere

Blake Lively stars as Nancy, a grieving medical student who becomes stranded just 200 yards from shore after being attacked by a Great White shark.

East Is East – 11.05pm, Channel 4

This award-winning comedy drama, set in 1970s Salford, follows a traditional Pakistani father and the struggles he faces trying to arrange marriages for his children, who have all been born and brought up in Britain.

Purple Rain – 11.05pm, Channel 5
