Anne Hathaway sings "I Dreamed a Dream" in first Les Miserables film trailer
Take a sneak peek at Tom Hooper's movie adaptation of the musical theatre sensation, which also stars Hugh Jackman and Russell Crowe
It might not be released until December, but Universal Pictures has decided to start tickling the fancy of musical theatre fans across the world early by releasing the first trailer of Tom Hooper's (The King's Speech) eagerly awaited musical.
In this minute-and-a-half clip, Anne Hathaway, who plays Fantine, delivers a rousing performance of the show's (and now Susan Boyle's) signature tune, I Dreamed a Dream.
The film, based on Boublil and Schonberg's musical retelling of Victor Hugo's 1862 novel also stars Hugh Jackman as Jean Valjean, and Russell Crowe as Inspector Javert.
There's sure to be many more songs released online in the coming months, but for now, sit back and enjoy Ms Hathaway at the top of her French Revolution game...
