Louise Brealey to voice audio version of Caitlin Moran’s new novel
Sherlock actress says she’s “giddy as a goat” to lend her voice to How to Build a Girl
Caitlin Moran’s debut novel for adults, How to Build a Girl, has found a voice for the audio version in the form of Sherlock star Louise Brealey.
Brealey, who also stars in the recently released film Delicious, tells her Twitter fans she’s “giddy as a goat” about the news.

Moran herself took to Twitter to share the news saying having the “exquisite” Louise Brealey on board makes her “scream”.
How to Build a Girl tells the story of Johanna Morrigan, a 14-year-old who decides to reinvent herself as music writer Dolly Wilde after shaming herself on local TV. By the time she's 16, she's found herself in a world of rock stars, alcohol, cigarettes and sex, but Johanna begins to realise she’s built Dolly with a fatal flaw.
“Imagine The Bell Jar written by Rizzo from Grease,” writes one reviewer on Amazon.
How to Build a Girl is on sale from today, with the audio book set for release next month.
