Fifty Shades of Grey leads the nominations for this year's Razzies

Fifty Shades of Grey is a hot contender to win plenty of awards this year – just not the sort of accolades they'll want to display on their mantlepiece.

With six nominations at the Razzies, the awards which recognise the year's cinematic embarrassments, the movie is nominated for worst picture and worst director, while lead actors Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson are up for worst actor and worst actress.

In fact, Sam Taylor-Johnson's adaptation of EL James' sadomasochistic novel has hit the spot in all the major categories.

But there are plenty of other awkward, cringeworthy and downright terrible films also being considered for Razzies glory, including superhero flick Fantastic Four, comedy Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 and Adam Sandler's video game film Pixels.

And Fifty Shades' Dornan and Johnson shouldn't punish themselves too much, because even Oscar-winner Eddie Redmayne has been nominated for worst supporting actor in sci-fi adventure Jupiter Ascending.

The lucky winners will be announced in Hollywood on 27th February – the day before the Oscars. Sandra Bullock and Halle Berry are among the few actors who have actually attended the Razzies to accept their award, while most decide to steer clear...
